We are writing on behalf of our dear friend and sister, Kelley, and her two boys, Eli and James.
For years, they have endured physical, emotional, and mental abuse from him. He recently left them for a 53 day trip with no car, no money, and no way to provide for daily needs beyond what little he occasionally sends. Just weeks ago, when Kelley and both boys were sick, he sent only the bare minimum for a couple of groceries, leaving them without the basic care every family deserves.
Behind the image he portrays to the outside world is a reality of fear, harm, and manipulation. Kelley has been slammed against walls, forced to escape out of windows for her safety, and left to raise two boys entirely on her own. Eli and James do not know a stable, supportive father, only someone who shows up when it benefits his image.
Now Kelley is ready to break free and create a safe, loving home for her children. She needs our help to move back to New York where her family can surround them with love and support. Donations will go toward a U Haul truck, travel expenses, and flights for family members to safely help with the boys.
Kelley is a firm believer in Christ and trusts that God will provide and take care of her and her children however He wills. She is stepping out in faith, knowing that the Lord is her refuge and her strength, and that He will make a way through the generosity of His people.
We believe no woman or child should be forced to live in fear. Kelley is taking the brave step to leave, and we are standing beside her. Anything you can give, big or small, will directly help this family find safety and a new beginning.
Thank you for helping Kelley, Eli, and James find the security, love, and future they deserve. May God bless you for your kindness, in the name of Jesus.
