My name is Keisha, and I was very hesitant about starting a fundraiser for me and my kids. However, times have proven to be way too hard for us, and it's getting harder. On June 23, 2024, I left Georgia fleeing a domestic violence situation, and I asked my job to transfer me to Ohio. When I got here, I was terminated because of lies that were told to my job by an abusive narcissist. I never could have imagined that this one decision would change our lives forever. We left a beautiful home to now be sleeping in our car. I have no family, no money, and nowhere to go. I will be starting a job soon, but all of the money I have been trying to get has been used for hotel rooms.

As if that wasn't enough, when we got here, my daughter became ill and was diagnosed with MS. We finally got into a shelter and were kicked out because the shelter was infested badly with bed bugs, and I called the health department. So that put a target on my family, and they threw us out on the street. We are now trying to find some place to live. I have found an apartment, but I have to be able to afford to pay for us to get it.

I have 3 kiddos with me, and it is not fair for them to be going through this unfortunate situation all because I was trying to get them safe and give them a better life.
