Our beloved sister, Kayte, passed away just a few months ago, leaving behind her precious children and a legacy of strength, love, and resilience. Kayte was a true fighter—one of the early survivors of COVID-19 who spent nearly two months on a ventilator. Though doctors didn’t expect her to make it, she defied the odds and was blessed with a few more years to be with her children.

Those years were not easy. Kayte lived with lasting damage to her lungs and other organs, requiring constant oxygen support. Her children, still so young, became her little helpers—carrying her oxygen tank, staying close, and showing a level of love and maturity far beyond their years.

Now, in the wake of this unimaginable loss, our sister Angela Dennis and her husband Leroy have stepped up with immense courage and love. Together, they are raising four of Kayte’s five children, along with their own two children and a foster grandson—making a household full of love, but also in need of support.

Angela and Leroy currently have temporary custody of Kayte’s children and are working to secure permanent custody to give them the stability and care they need.

• Home Renovations: To create a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for all the children. Addition of two bedrooms by renovating the garage area.

• Adventures & Experiences: To give the kids opportunities to explore, laugh, and make joyful memories in honor of their mom, who couldn’t travel or move around much due to her health.

• Legal & Custody Support: To assist Angela and Leroy with the legal process of securing permanent custody.
