Hey y’all,

My name is Kay, and I’m reaching out during a difficult time in my life.

I am currently in an unsafe situation and have made the decision to seek safety in a shelter extremely soon.

My personal belongings have been destroyed during past fights, I've had things thrown at me, I’ve been harassed, bullied, verbally assaulted and I no longer feel safe where I am living with my ex boyfriend. He has told me explicitly how badly he wants to get physically violent with me and it’s become impossible to live in constant fear.

He has been verbally and emotionally abusing me for over 6 months now. I do not want to stay until it turns into physical abuse as well.

I am facing lots of challenges as I work to rebuild my life and find a job. My plan is to just find a roommate and establish myself enough to get my own place. I love the PNW and I never want to leave.

The funds from this fundraiser will help me cover basic needs like food and transportation, which are essential while I look for a job and try to regain stability.

I also have a pet bunny who means the world to me, and your support will help me provide her with hay and bedding so she can stay healthy and comfortable during this transition.

Getting out of this apartment ASAP is my best opportunity to restart my life the right way. I’ll have an amazing support system through great friends along with being in a safer environment in general.
