On the morning of May 13, 2025, the home of Manatee County Sheriff's Office Community Service Officer Kayla Menzies and her mother Retired FHP Trooper Kristi Menzies caught on fire, resulting in a total loss. At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown. Thankfully, everyone is safe, but the loss has left the family and their beloved pets in urgent need of support as they begin to rebuild.

This family has and continues to serve our community.
