A Safe, Supportive Space for Kaua‘i Families
Aloha!
My name is Tamara Lawrence, and I’m the founder of Nā Keiki Kollective, a new nonprofit built to meet a growing need on Kaua‘i: a safe, affordable, and community-centered space where children and families can thrive.
This vision grew from Little Babes Club, Kaua‘i’s only indoor play space. While the community response and support was incredible, we quickly learned that sustaining and expanding this kind of resource for local ʻohana requires more than a small business model—it needs a collective effort.
That’s why we’re launching Nā Keiki Kollective as a nonprofit initiative to carry this dream forward in a way that centers accessibility, community impact, and long-term sustainability.
Our Vision
Nā Keiki Kollective will become Kaua‘i’s only industrial-sized indoor playground and family wellness center, serving as a hub where local providers can come together to uplift families—through play, support services, and connection.
We are reimagining what family support looks like on our island.
Our Mission
To create an affordable, inclusive space that supports keiki and ʻohana by offering:
- A large, safe indoor playground.
- On-site childcare, so parents can access wellness, therapy, and fitness services stress-free.
- Multi-use therapy rooms for massage, mental health counseling, speech therapy, and more.
- A sensory room designed for neurodiverse keiki
- A cozy seating and café area for families to connect and recharge
- A pretend play town for imaginative learning and fun
- A place where community providers collaborate under one roof to uplift our families
