Support Katie and Ivy in Memory of William Johnson

On May 3rd, 2025. William Johnson, my former partner and my daughter Ivy’s biological father, passed away tragically at the age of 31. Although we have been separated for some time prior to his death, we continued to co-parent Ivy together. Sharing not only parental, but financial responsibility. Will’s death not only leaves a hole in our lives, but places undue financial strain on myself as Ivy’s sole remaining caretaker.

In our home state, there are social programs in place to provide financial assistance to single parents in the event the second parent has died. However, access to these programs are dependent on proof of paternity, the ability to prove Will as Ivy’s father. This requires a DNA paternity test and paperwork to be filed, all of which incur hefty fees. The proceeds from this GoFundMe will cover the cost of the DNA test, as well as any administrative fees in my effort to seek state assistance.

Will and I love Ivy with all our hearts, please help me in ensuring my daughter continues to receive the best quality of life and honor Will’s memory by protecting his greatest gift to me.
