Support Katie and Edric in Their Time of Need

I recently got to know Katie a little better. She’s a solo mom to Edric (a 1st grader at Altadena Arts Magnet) which in itself is so difficult and unimaginable to me. However, she has also endured some really awful domestic circumstances in the past that resulted in her having crippling financial burdens caused by these circumstances and no support from immediate family.

After receiving some amazingly supportive community outreach recently myself, I have a renewed sense of how critical it is support each other in times of need. So I asked Katie if she would let me offer some small help and perhaps share with other parents and friends who might also want to offer some help.

We all struggle from time to time but many of us are blessed with a built-in support network. Katie loves her job at a funeral home helping grieving families, and works very hard to support her son financially, but is now in need of help.
