Support Kathy’s Brain Surgery Recovery

Donation protected
On May 5th, my wife Kathy Erwert suffered a massive seizure that changed our lives overnight. During her hospital stay, doctors discovered two large masses on her brain. She underwent brain surgery on July 1st, and since that day, she hasn’t been able to work. Kathy is the strongest, most outgoing woman I know—she loves the outdoors, gardening, and is always on the move. Now, she’s facing a long recovery, and it’s been incredibly hard for her to be away from the things she loves most.

Since her surgery, Kathy has needed help with almost everything—cooking, cleaning, even showering. For someone as independent as her, this loss of freedom has been a real struggle. She’s often frustrated and upset about not being able to do her usual day-to-day activities. I’m doing my best to support her, but we’ve used up all our paid time off and drained our savings. Our biggest worry right now is keeping up with household expenses like rent and bills while Kathy recovers. Doctors say her recovery could take at least three months, and it’s still uncertain if she’ll be able to return to her job.

We’re reaching out for help because we want to make it through this difficult time together. Any support would mean the world to us as we focus on Kathy’s healing and hope for a brighter future. Thank you for reading our story and for any kindness you can share.
