Hello, I am creating this GoFundMe for my adult daughter, Katelin, to help with her bills and living expenses after she was a passenger involved in a very bad car accident.
On July 13, Katelin and her friend were going to lunch in Monroe when they were involved in a high-speed, offset head-on collision on 522 and Paradise Lake Road. In my opinion, a reckless driver blew through a red light going over the posted speed limit. According to the onsite Washington State Patrol officer, possibly 70 mph. The vehicle Katelin was in spun around a few times.
Katelin and her friend have many broken bones, major whiplash, back pains, anxiety from the accident, and a lot more. Katelin has been out of work since the accident. Her work is holding her position; she is a vet assistant and loves her job, clients, and the animals she has worked with. At this time, she has no money coming in but has some big bills going out. She is the sole registered borrower on her car loan (no co-signer). She also has full coverage on her car. She does not ask John or myself for help to cover anything as she has worked very hard for what she has. She also has vet bills each month on her account that need to be covered, and a few credit cards.
Katelin did attempt to go to work but was unable to complete the 8-hour shift yesterday due to severe back pain and chest pain (broken sternum). Katelin does have an injury lawyer on this case, but we all know how long it could take to see any money from this other person.
To help her friend we have also loaned him our spare vehicle since that subaru was his only driving vehicle. He did sustain broken ribs, whip lash and severe back pain, but with wheels he has been able to return to light duty work. But he was paying enough attention behind the wheel to avoid a deadly accident. I am forever grateful to him for that. His response time means i still have my daughter here.
The funds directly go to Katelin for her bills, her car payment is $400 a month, her full coverage insurance is $400 a month, the rest goes to her vet bills for the 2 needy kittens she adopted from a hoarding cat house where more than 40 cats have been saved. But these two have a few medical conditions that require constant vet visits.(please vaccinate your pets and get them fixed as that would have prevented what these kittens have) Katelin has a passion for animals and it shows, some animals she works with only trust her, and some owners only feel comfortable with Katelin handling their beloved pets.
So I am asking you, friends, family, and strangers to please consider a donation to Katelin so this reckless accident does not destroy her and all she has worked so hard for. Thank you all for the kind words, and prayers to Katelin and her friend.
