To all of our friends and family, near and far —

Many of you know how deeply my sweet Karrington means to me. She is my heartbeat, my joy, and the light of my life. But right now, her precious little body is facing a challenge that no child should have to endure.

Karrington has been battling serious lung issues, and despite her endless love and the brightest spirit, her lungs simply aren’t cooperating. After exhausting our options, we’ve been told that she will need a major surgery to give her the best possible chance at living the full, healthy life she deserves — a life where she can breathe easy, laugh loudly, and continue to share her love with everyone around her.

Karrington’s surgery is scheduled at John Hopkins Children’s Hospital in Florida. It’s a two-part procedure over the course of two weeks, followed by an extended recovery when we return home to Texas. The upfront cost required to move forward with her care is $10,000.

As difficult as it is to ask, I am reaching out to Karrington’s tribe — all of you who have loved and supported us — to help us make this happen.
