Hi, I’m Olivia Karl’s oldest child. My dad recently got the news that he has Stage 4 Colorectal cancer, and it’s been one of the hardest things our family has ever faced. As his oldest child, it’s incredibly painful to watch someone I love so much go through this — especially someone who has always been our rock, our “Superman.”

My dad is one of the most selfless, humble, and god-fearing men I know. He has spent his whole life doing for others — helping friends, family, neighbors, and even strangers — and he never asks for anything in return. He’s the kind of person who will drop everything to help someone in need, give wise advice when you need it most, and pray for you even when he’s struggling himself. His faith and strength have shaped who I am and have touched everyone who knows him.

Right now, as he begins treatments and goes through ongoing testing, he’s not able to work like he used to. The medical bills, everyday expenses, and household costs are going to start to pile up, and I just want to take some of that burden off his and my mom’s shoulders so he can focus on healing.

This GoFundMe is to help cover his bills, groceries, and day-to-day living expenses while he goes through treatment. Every single donation — no matter how big or small — will make a difference and go directly toward helping him stay afloat during this difficult time. If you know my dad, you know he’d never ask for help for himself. But I’m asking for him — because he deserves to be surrounded by the same love and support he’s always given to everyone else.
