Kari and Doug have faced incredible hardship over the past year since Doug was diagnosed with aggressive esophageal cancer. The odds of his recovery were low, and we couldn’t easily foresee him winning his battle against cancer and ending up in recovery like he is now. However, throughout all of their adversities, they held onto the hope of improving.

After Doug went through several rounds of immunotherapy, he went into surgery to eliminate the rest of the cancer. Unfortunately, their insurance wouldn’t cover more than a few days of recovery in the hospital, so they had to pay for him to stay at an aftercare facility for some time.

They still have months of recovery and treatment ahead of them. Donations will help ease the weight of medical bills, recovery expenses, and everyday expenses while they continue to fight the effects of cancer
