Hello, I'm Karen and I'm creating this fundraiser for my partner of 8 years, Jose, who is currently battling stomach cancer. He was diagnosed in March and this news has saddened and turned our lives upside down.

He has been battling chronic pain, constantly going to the ER and doctors visits for over 10 years. He has been adamant and consistent on how he feels but no one seemed to care because of his young age. Many thought he was exaggerating about his unstable wellbeing. The doctors thought it was because of the gastritis and marijuana but the pain was so excruciating that we knew that wasn't the case. All he wanted was help, someone who listened and cared, someone who was willing to set motion. It's always when it's too late... everyone ignored all the warning signs when it was pretty clear that something wasn't right.

He has not been able to work for years now. This has debalitated him physically and mentally. He has difficulty eating and has trouble with his bowels. To wake up in pain and having to be under running hot water everyday is exhausting. He feels weak to even do the simple day to day tasks. As much as he pushes himself everyday to look forward, one can't help but have negative thoughts of possibly not making it through this devastating stage.

He has no family that supports him let alone care. I am his family and I want to do whatever it takes to help him. He is now facing a tough battle, with a treatment plan that includes surgery, chemotherapy and unexpected expenses to accommodate his post care. Between all of this, the financial strain is overwhelming.
