Donation protected
This is Karen, a lady that I met on a trip to Honduras. The purpose of my trip was to donate some money to people in need. That morning when I woke up, I told my dad that I had some money God put in my heart to give away and that we needed to start driving in hopes that God will lead us to whoever needed it. We had no clue where we were headed to but somehow the Lord led us to a neighborhood we had never been to & the house of the lady you see in the pictures named Karen. As I approached her house to give her the money, she was skeptical and hesitant to come out. I mentioned that God had sent me to give her a gift. She eventually came out of the house, and as I handed her the money, she immediately started shaking and crying uncontrollably. After a few minutes she explained how one of her sons had recently passed and that times had been really rough. She mentioned that they hadn’t been able to sleep well because of the grief, but also because the roof of her house had several holes and water was pouring inside. What stuck out to me the most was that she explained that the day before she had gone to church and pleaded to God for help. She had made the decision of tithing the last bit of money she had left, and she told God that she was choosing to trust in Him. A random guy showing up to her house and telling her God was sending him to give her a gift was confirmation to her that God had heard her prayers. My hope is to one day surprise Karen with a complete home renovation so that her family and her don’t have to deal with the issues that they are currently facing because of their home.
