My name is Kacey (sometimes Afrodite) and I am an artist and entertainer living in Brooklyn, NY. I am also a trans woman who is fortunate enough to be undergoing some gender-affirming procedures this summer in order to harmonize my inner self with my physical body and be able to move freely through the world without the heavy burden of dysphoria weighing me down.

I'm navigating this part of my transition amidst a very scary, uncertain, and generally difficult time for trans folks. I am extremely lucky to have many of my medical expenses covered by insurance, and am equally lucky to have a community of people by my side on this journey. As insurance only goes so far, I am humbly looking to raise funds to cover expenses related to my FFS (facial feminization surgery), electrolysis, laser hair removal, and maintaining housing/bills/basic necessities while I take the necessary time off of work to recover.

I am so, so thrilled to be able to finally step into my true self in this way, and am beyond grateful for donations of ANY size. I will be posting updates about my journey on Instagram (@afrodite.nyc) and would love for you to follow along.
