Hello I’m Kacey Lynn. I’m a black transgender woman living in Upstate NY. The housing program I’m in is having me move out of the program against my wishes. I’m being moved to a different program with the move in date of April 10th. It’s a move that I’m not mentally or financially in the place for right now but I don’t have much of a decision. I’m trying to get on track with being paid biweekly but ive been struggling for months now. I’ve been homeless before and I’m afraid that it could happen again if I’m unable to pay the rent at the new apartment. That’s partially why they’re kicking me out of this program because I’m unable to pay the program fee. My gender identity also has part to do with it. The program is not LGBTQ friendly, but I was in need of assistance and having a roof over my head was better than being homeless. I guess I’m just scared and I really don’t know what to do.
