Support Justin's Recovery from His Accident and Surgery

Donation protected
On January 30th of this year, my son Justin was rear ended on 95 in Philadelphia's on his way to his job as a 6th grade math teacher. He was taken by ambulance to the ER. He sustained a concussion, whiplash and neck injuries. He has had concussion therapy, hyperbaric chamber oxygen therapy, upper cervical chiropractic, massage therapy and vision therapy. He has had to see his primary care doctor, concussion doctor, neurologist, vision therapy doctor and chiropractor. The medical coverage through the car insurance was exhausted so he is having to pay copays, deductibles and out of pocket expenses.
After 3 1/2 months of therapies Justin returned to work for the last 4 weeks of school. One of the main issues he has had was his eyes were not working together and it was so bad his brain was turning one eye off just so he could see. Though it has become much better, his eyes and brain are still healing and he still becomes fatigued. It made for challenging days of teaching. There continues to be doctor appointments and at some point he will need to see a neurosurgeon to evaluate the herniated discs in his neck.
On top of this, Justin had some medical issues the past few weeks. He had a few trips to the ER and ended up needing surgery last Monday, June 16.
During the time Justin was off work, he was receiving disability through his employer which pays only 60% of his income. As a teacher, Justin has the opportunity to divide his pay over the full year instead of just the school year. Because of doing that and missing 3 1/2 months of his salary, the amount of money that remained for the 3 months until the new school year begins is very minimal. He has had to use his savings since the accident to cover his months expenses and now with all the medical bills coming in it is being depleted.
Justin is one of the most kind hearted, positive, loving, supportive, caring and fun individuals you could ever meet!!!
It’s never easy asking for help but if you are able to give a little something to help get him through this very difficult time I would so appreciate it and I know he would be too! If you’re unable, a positive thought and prayer would go a long way as well!!!
From the bottom of my heart…Thank You!!!
