My name is Destiny, Justin Ethridge’s daughter. I have been raised by my grandparents because of my father and mother’s addiction and mental issues. I have been with no father or mother since I was about 3, and it has put me in a situation I never thought I'd have to be in. Here recently, my father got out of prison and my mother has been out for a couple of years, but considering the mental state they both are in, I didn’t think it would last long. About a year after my dad got out of prison, he got pulled over for being on a motorcycle he bought from his son's mother, which had the wrong information he didn’t know about. After a year of me getting to know him again for the first time since I was a toddler, I have gotten really close to him. I’ve learned he has a bad addiction and a bad mental illness over time, as well as noticing he has never had the professional help he needs. Every time he gets incarcerated, he gets years and so many charges, with the judges not even looking him in the eye and considering he needs help, but instead years of trauma in prison, hurts me.

So the pain and broken hearts since he was 14 puts my mind nowhere near at ease. I believe he has potential. This isn’t a pity me, this is a cry for help. This is his family and him asking for a chance. A chance for him to get better. I am trying to raise money for his lawyer & being put in a decent rehabilitation program. I’m not understanding how he is getting time in prison, but his own daughter’s rapist has been let out. This system sickens me. God bless and will appreciate all the donations.
