2 months ago chained up and starving, this smart boy is doing daily training with me and has mastered sit, go to bed (aka lay down), stay on both and shake paw. He is getting treatment for heart-worm disease which is a challenge to keep him calm during. Still 2 more shots to go mid April. Funds are needed for this treatment & then vaccination and neutering. Then another 6 weeks of keeping him calm during the heart worm’s shedding. It’s so sad when pets are left uncared for like this. He is afraid of tennis balls and doesn’t show interest in any toys. This tells you how little attention he must have had. You can see the appreciation in his eyes for the attention he is getting now. It is quite a challenge for rescuers. All these issues neglected animals are left with combined make it all the more difficult to re-home them. So much time, love and money go into getting this all accomplished.
