Hola, mi nombre es Paula Andrea Pérez y nunca en mi vida he hecho algo como esto… pero hoy lo hago desde el corazón por una familia que está atravesando una situación muy dura.

El hijo de mi amiga, Wendy Vargas, un joven de apenas 20 años, trabajador, muy noble y lleno de sueños, fue víctima de un asalto en el que le dispararon por la espalda. Desde entonces ha quedado en silla de ruedas. Los médicos aquí no le dan esperanza de volver a caminar, pero él no pierde la fe, y su mamá tampoco.

Ella sueña con poder llevarlo a Colombia, para agotar los últimos recursos y ver si alguien le ofrece una posibilidad de recuperación. Mientras tanto, el día a día es muy difícil:

• pañales,

• medicamentos,

• citas médicas,

• y además las cuentas del hospital y las básicas del hogar

Ella trabaja cuando puede, pero la realidad es que no es suficiente para cubrir todo lo que implica esta nueva vida.

Por eso, hoy pido desde lo más sincero: cualquier ayuda, incluso un dólar, puede marcar la diferencia. No solo es un apoyo económico, es también un gesto de esperanza para un joven que tiene toda su vida por delante y una mamá que se niega a rendirse.

Hello, my name is Paula Andrea Pérez. I’ve never done something like this before, but today I’m speaking from the heart on behalf of a family that is going through an incredibly difficult time.

My friend’s son, Jullian Vargas, is only 20 years old—a hardworking, kind, and dream-filled young man. Tragically, he was the victim of an assault where he was shot in the back. Since that day, Jullian has been in a wheelchair. Doctors here have said he may never walk again, but Jullian refuses to lose hope—and so does his mother, Wendy.

Wendy’s greatest wish is to take him back to Colombia, where they can explore every possible treatment option in hopes of giving him a chance at recovery. But in the meantime, daily life has become overwhelming:

Wendy works whenever she can, but it’s simply not enough to cover all of these new challenges.
