My dear friend Julie recently experienced the unimaginable. Her husband, Matt, passed away after a long and courageous battle with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a rare and relentless cancer.

Julie and Matt did everything they could to find more time together as a family—exploring traditional treatments, clinical trials, and alternative care. But tragically, Matt lost his battle—much too young.

If you knew Matt, you knew how deeply he loved his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a true friend to so many. He had a special gift for making people feel welcome and cared for—an incredible host who made sure everyone was enjoying themselves.

Please help me care for his family the way Matt always cared for others.

Matt loved spending time with his youngest daughter, Molly, and her friends—including my own children. He leaves behind three children: Emma, Adam, and 8-year-old Molly.

And while Matt was fighting for his life, Julie was fighting right alongside him. Over the past several months, she has carried an unimaginable load—working full-time, caring for their daughter, and spending countless days and nights in hospitals and at home by Matt’s side. Her strength and devotion have been nothing short of heroic.

Now, she’s facing life without him. She is navigating overwhelming grief while also carrying the heavy financial burden of medical and hospice bills, funeral expenses, and the responsibility of raising Molly as the sole provider.

We want to ease that burden—and give Julie the space to breathe, to grieve, and to begin healing without the constant pressure of what comes next.
