Hello

Although this is difficult to ask for help, I am doing so to prevent my daughter Julianna from homelessness. We have exhausted all resources and are now waiting for the county to come up with a plan for her. She has been at a hotel for the last two weeks, and I’m trying to raise money for her to stay for two weeks longer until her care coordinator finds an alternative option for her. Her dad and I have contributed funds towards her hotel stay; however, neither of us are in a position to continue funding her.

Unfortunately, I am unable to allow her to live with me due to her ongoing mental health crises putting me and her siblings at risk.

I understand this is a difficult time for many people, and it is very difficult for me to reach out for help.

We are hopeful that the government shutdown will end soon, so that may lead to additional housing resources opening up for her. She qualifies for Section 8 housing; however, she is still on the waiting list.
