Support Julianna's Global Healthcare Mission

Hi, my name is Julianna. I go to the College of DuPage, and I am halfway through the nursing program. I have been presented with a life-changing opportunity to participate as one of the 12 students in the Global Healthcare Medical Initiative trip to the Dominican Republic in the summer of 2025. It is an 8-day trip of 12-hour days volunteering to provide medical care to those in need. It will be a transformative experience I am eager to undertake. I believe genuine human connection and empathy are the foundations of a successful and fulfilling career, especially in healthcare. My personal mission is to be a beacon of hope for others, especially those in need of care and support, and to approach each interaction with the same compassion and understanding that I was taught growing up. This opportunity has all kinds of benefits for my professional goals, and it will be nothing less than an enriching experience that broadens my understanding of healthcare. I'm excited to experience, learn new skills, and spend time with fellow healthcare students. This program is also an excellent chance to do something I have always wanted: give back and volunteer my time to help those in need. I am particularly excited about the prospect of being part of a team that shares my passions. I thrive in collaborative environments and am eager to contribute my skills and enthusiasm to benefit others.
