Never in a million years did our family imagine being here.

On December 30, 2025, our beloved mother, Juanetta Jones, was the victim of a violent hit-and-run in Oakland, California. The driver fled the scene. Due to the severity of her injuries, Juanetta is currently hospitalized and has been left paralyzed, requiring ongoing intensive medical care, surgeries, and treatment.

Anyone who knows Juanetta knows she is the life of the party — full of energy, laughter, and strength. Seeing her confined to a hospital bed, surrounded by machines and unable to advocate for herself, has been absolutely heartbreaking for our family.

This fundraiser is being organized on behalf of Juanetta Jones to support her medical care, recovery, and long-term needs. While I am her child and current medical decision-maker, all funds raised are solely for my mom’s benefit as she faces a long and uncertain road ahead.

The financial burden related to her care has become overwhelming. Expenses continue to grow and include both immediate and long-term needs related to her recovery and quality of life.

Funds raised will be used to help cover:

• Medical and hospital-related expenses

• Rehabilitation and therapy services

• Transportation and lodging for family assisting with her care

• Home modifications and necessary medical equipment

• Lost income and basic living expenses related to her care

Although the Oakland Police Department has confirmed the existence of surveillance footage connected to this incident, no arrest has been made at this time. Our family continues to seek accountability while focusing on Juanetta’s healing and stability.
