<div>On December 30, 2025, our beloved mother, Juanetta Jones, was the victim of a violent hit-and-run in Oakland, California. The driver fled the scene. Due to the severity of her injuries, Juanetta is currently hospitalized and has been left paralyzed, requiring ongoing intensive medical care, surgeries, and treatment.

<div>Anyone who knows Juanetta knows she is the life of the party — full of energy, laughter, and strength. Seeing her confined to a hospital bed, surrounded by machines and unable to advocate for herself, has been absolutely heartbreaking for our family.

<div>This fundraiser is being organized on behalf of Juanetta Jones to support her medical care, recovery, and long-term needs. While I am her child and current medical decision-maker, all funds raised are solely for my mom’s benefit as she faces a long and uncertain road ahead.

<div>The financial burden related to her care has become overwhelming. Expenses continue to grow and include both immediate and long-term needs related to her recovery and quality of life.

Support Juanetta’s Healing After Hit-and-Run

My name is Miyoko and Early Saturday morning on the corner of O'farrell and Larkin in San Francisco, CA in the heart of the Tenderloin, my boyfriend Ben Schwartz was stabbed 9 times in an effort to defend me, his girlfriend from a relentless cat caller.  When he asked the man to stop he immediately started attacking Ben.<br />  Ben was rushed to SF general where he underwent surgery to close a punctured lung and to stitch the deep wounds along the back of his neck, back, face, and arms. While the suspect took off in a silver sedan no where to be found. <br /> The doctors say he is very lucky to be alive considering how close the cuts were to main arteries and one just missing his spinal cord. <br />We are all so very thankful that he made it out alive and is healing well at home now. <br />I think I can speak for myself and of all of Ben's friends when I say he is the sweetest most loving friend out there. He is there when you need a good laugh, a hug, or even just someone to listen to you. Its shocking to think something like this could happen to such an amazing person. That is why we are trying to raise money to help Ben and I get through these tough times.  Every little bit helps!
