Josie is fighting Guillain-Barré syndrome, a condition in which the immune system attacks the nerves. The condition may be triggered by an acute bacterial or viral infection. She also has recently started having trouble breathing and has four infections in her lungs: Staph, Moraxella, H. Influenza, and S. Pneumonia. These are growing rapidly in her lungs on top of having Guillain-Barré.
