Support Joshua's Voluntary Service in Brazil

My name is Joshua Gutierrez , and I’ve been called to serve as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the next two years. This decision was made with a lot of thought and consideration, and I want to do it for myself and I’m excited for the experience.

I’ve been assigned to serve in the Brazil, Teresina mission starting 9/15/2025 and I couldn’t be more excited. For two years, I will dedicate my life to serving others, teaching about Jesus Christ, and bringing hope and peace to people from all walks of life. I will be away from home, family, school, work, and everything familiar, focusing entirely on love, service, and faith.

This mission is 100% voluntary; I’m not paid or compensated in any way. In fact, missionaries and their families typically cover the full cost of the mission themselves, which is approximately $500 per month, totaling around $12,000 for the entire two years.The cost will go to living but also to things I need such as mosquito net and comfortable clothes since it will be over 100 degrees including humidity. I was told that most people take two showers a day to feel fresh and clean.

As someone who’s worked hard to prepare, both spiritually and financially, I’ve saved what I can, but I need some help to bridge the gap. That’s why I’m reaching out to family, friends, and generous supporters who believe in the power of service, faith, and making the world a better place.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting my mission, covering housing, food, transportation, and basic living expenses while I’m out in the field. Your support will not only help me get there, but it will bless the lives of countless others I’ll meet along the way.
