Four months ago I landed in Cameroon with a framework and a promise: teach communities to own their stories, their platforms, and the income that flows from them.
Here's what actually happened since March:
I personally taught free media workshops in six Cameroon cities — Limbe, Tiko, Souza, Bafut, Bamenda, and Yaoundé. I brought Media Company in a Box training to King Black Welfare Association in Limbe, a nonprofit that has trained over 4,000 students, and to Grace Digital Solutions, a technology school in Souza. I taught Cell Phone Sovereignty workshops across the Bafut Kingdom and Bamenda — showing students that the phone already in their pocket is a production studio. At COTECC, a college gutted by the Anglophone Crisis where students still show up daily to empty labs, I gave young people their first platform to speak to the world. The Fon of Bafut conferred on me the royal title Tah-Lah — "Father of the Land." I carry it as a responsibility, not a decoration. The mission has also reached Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda, where refugee creators have produced their first published works.

What your support actually pays for: me. There's no NGO, no salary, no overhead. This fund covers food, housing, transport between cities, and communication — the unglamorous infrastructure that keeps one person on the ground doing the work. The teaching is free to every Cameroonian who shows up. Your support is what makes "free" possible.
What's next: the first physical sovereign media hub — the Royal Echo Village in Nchum, Bafut Kingdom — the flagship of 500 planned worldwide. The human infrastructure is trained. Now we build.
