This holiday season, as we celebrate health, family, and friendship, we ask you to join us in supporting Jose Dominguez—a beloved 56-year-old husband, father, brother, son, friend, and athlete—who is facing the toughest challenge of his life, battling cancer!
For years, Jose’s determination as a triathlete, especially his love of cycling, has inspired everyone around him. In August 2024, Jose was diagnosed with myofibroblastic sarcoma, a rare malignant tumor and aggressive cancer. The disease has taken a heavy toll. What started as a sensation of a minor muscle pull, resulted in multiple doctors visits, chemotherapy, extreme diet change, natural supplements to build up his deteriorating immune system (due to chemo), all this leading to the heartbreaking amputation of his right leg at the hip, to avoid further spreading of the disease, which was already spread to his lungs, But Jose, ever the fighter, has refused to let this diagnosis extinguish his hope for life. He will continue treatment beyond his recent surgery, challenging the odds.
Despite these unimaginable challenges, Jose’s unshakable faith and desire to race again keep him fighting. He dreams of crossing a finish line with a prosthetic leg, proving that hope and resilience can overcome even the greatest obstacles. The prospect of learning to walk again—let alone adapting to life with a disability—is a tremendous challenge. He is now in a rehab center, since his surgery on November 20th and we are eagerly awaiting his return home.
The road ahead is steep. Medical bills post-surgery visits, cancer treatments, and the cost of prosthetics and physical therapy are overwhelming. This is why your support matters so much. By donating, you’re helping Jose focus on healing and training for a "race with grace" giving him the tools to rebuild his life.
Let’s make this season truly meaningful by standing with Jose in his journey of courage and perseverance. Every contribution, no matter how small, is a gift of hope for Jose and our family. Together, we can help him race toward recovery and inspire countless others with his indomitable spirit.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
