On November 12th, two CBP agents approached Jose as he was selling fruit at the Culver City Stairs, then kidnapped him and deported him 5 days later. Jose is a supportive and hard-working father, who is working hard to provide a better future for their children and wife. After his deportation, he left behind his family, including his five children- ages 6, 8, 13, 15, and 17. This sudden separation has left his family heartbroken and in financial crisis. Jose’s wife, Herlinda, is now left with the financial responsibility for all expenses and for their children.
Jose and his family come from an indigenous community where financial resources are limited. As a result, they are in great need of financial assistance to not only support themselves with the absence of Jose but also to pay off accumulated debt.
Thank you so much for your support. Please consider sharing their story, donating if you can, and continuing to support families being impacted by the ICE raid.
