Lucas and Jessica Gatti of Madison, NJ, are the loving parents to 3 wonderful children, Lucas (5), Audrey (3) and Josephine (1). Recently, Josephine became seriously ill and was admitted to Morristown Medical Center. After several days, she was transferred to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she was diagnosed with PolG, a chronic mitochondrial disease. Josephine remained hospitalized for weeks, receiving around-the-clock care. She was recently discharged, but her journey is far from over. Due to her diagnosis, her home care is extensive and includes physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech. The Gatti family has faced overwhelming medical expenses which continue to grow. Lucas and Jessica have been active and generous members of our community, and now it is our turn to support them in their time of need. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden of their out of pocket medical costs so Lucas and Jessica can focus on what matters the most – caring for their children and helping Josephine in her fight.
