Hello Everyone,

I am reaching out to share an urgent and heartfelt request on behalf of my uncle, Jose Velasco. As many of you know, Jose has been battling non-alcoholic liver failure. These past months, Jose has been very ill and in and out of the hospital as this disease has been progressing aggressively and fast. He was put on the liver transplant list. During this time, he became ill with an infection in his body, which caused a pause in the process of him getting a liver transplant. The doctors believe he will beat this infection in a few weeks and then can move him along in the transplant process. We did recently find out that due to how much damage the liver disease and infection caused, he may now need a liver and a kidney transplant. The medical doctors and medical team at USC are very hopeful that he will make a successful recovery but are also fully transparent that he will have a long road to recovery.

As I was visiting my uncle one day at the hospital, I saw the amount of hospital bills that he is now receiving. This does not include what's to come with the transplant and recovery. The last thing I want my uncle to do is worry about the cost of medical bills while he is not working, instead of focusing on getting the strength to fight and beat this disease.

If you know Jose Velasco, he is one of the most generous people I know. He is an amazing father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and loved by many. We are all praying for him deeply as he is a strong pillar of our family. He is strong in faith and is trusting the Lord at this moment. He has always helped so many in his lifetime, and I would love to bring his family, friends, and others to help him during this difficult time.

If you find it in your heart to help Jose, our family would truly be thankful for your support. No amount is too little, and all is deeply appreciated. We are also asking to keep Jose in your prayers daily. With faith in God, he is ready to begin this medical journey.
