Support Jose: Nurse Impacted by DACA Delay

Donation protected
My name is Jose, and I have been a nurse for nine years, caring for patients and supporting my community. I came to the United States when I was just three years old, and this country has been my home ever since. As a DACA recipient, I have worked hard to build a life here, graduating with both my ADN and BSN in nursing. Nursing is not just my profession—it’s my calling, and I have always been proud to serve others in their times of need.

Recently, I have faced an abrupt and overwhelming financial disruption. Due to significant delays in the processing of my DACA work permit renewal, I am unable to work as a nurse. This situation has left me without an income, and I am struggling to cover my basic living expenses. It’s incredibly frustrating to be sidelined by circumstances beyond my control, especially after dedicating so much of my life to helping others.

I am reaching out for support during this difficult time. If you can relate to the uncertainty and frustration of having your future put on hold, I hope you’ll consider helping. Your generosity will go directly toward my living expenses while I wait for my work permit to be renewed. Thank you for recognizing my journey and for standing with me as I navigate this challenging chapter.
