Support Jon's Dog in His Time of Need
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jon! I am a US Army veteran who served in Iraq. I hate, and I mean absolutely hate, asking for help, but my dog, who is my only family I have left in this world, needs help beyond the funding I can provide. I have already spent $1,000 on exams and blood work to find the root cause and only have $1,200 remaining in my savings account. I am asking you, the most awesomest people on the planet, to lend some aid if he should need recovery. He is currently 8 years old and should have at least another 6 years on this planet with his loving family. I know one day I will have to say goodbye to him, but if I can keep him around for another 5 or 6 years, I would forever be grateful! Just to go into more detail he has chylothorax, this happens for many reasons and basically it is when fatty acid fluid leaks into his chest cavity making it harder to breath sometimes for him right now. There generally is an underlying issue that causes chylothorax in dogs and we are still in the testing phase to find out the root cause. Sometimes it can come down to surgery to save dogs who have this condition and thats where i need most of the help as that price can relange from $3000 to $8000 as sometimes 2 or 3 surgeries combined into one and thats why it can range upto the $8000 range. I am able to save about $1500 a month right now but i dont know if i can save enough in time before its to late to save him as the fluid can cause complications if left untreated for to long. So any help you can send Max's way will be greatly appreciated!
