Hello friends and family! After several months of misdiagnosis, MRI's, and physical therapy, it is with deep sadness that my brother Jon has been diagnosed with an extremely rare malignant form of a vascular cancer involving the nerves in his right arm. The name is Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma. Jon has been on disability and he is unable to work as a machinist due to the extreme pain, numbness, and loss of use to his right hand.

According to his surgeon, we are looking at multiple complex surgeries along with radiation treatments to try and save his arm. We are hopeful that he will be able to overcome this with a full recovery, however, he could be facing long-term disability with permanent numbness and or pain which could prevent him from returning to his 25-year career as a Machinist.
