Big Ask for my Big Brother's 70th Birthday
My brother John is an avid motorcyclist. His motorcycle has been his only mode of transportation since 2020. However, last year was filled with many medical challenges and problematic issues. The most complex was a diagnosis of sepsis. It involved having two surgeries that took his small toe and portions of the bone in his left foot. Although John has managed well with his partially amputated foot, now it’s a shoulder repair that is demanding his time and attention.
John has often spoken of having a sidecar added to his Harley. At this time, he can no longer afford such an accessory. It is my hope that you might find it in your heart to contribute to his 70th birthday for his heart's desire. I would like to gift him this opportunity to continue to ride a bit more comfortably, giving him a sidecar and a third point of balance on the road. It affects his emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being when he can't ride.
Most of you realize what FREEDOM transportation brings. Living in a warm climate, he relies on this vehicle. Turning seventy brings challenges of its own; having a sidecar would continue to ensure he could go to church, go grocery shopping, take bike missions with the Full Throttle Ministries motorcycle club, as well as road trips to visit family.
John has many gifts...he is one of the most creative people I have ever known. He can be a smooth-talking, not-so-gentle, hot-headed know-it-all at times, yet he's willing to lend a helping hand at a moment's notice. John's a perfectionist who has built just about everything you can imagine. Over the years, I have told others how John has the MIDAS touch. I believe this gift was passed down from my grandfather Gaetano, to my father Simone, on to John, his daughters, and his grandchildren (who are another reason for this ask). Being able to visit his grandkids and share his knowledge and skills with them and other family members.
I know there are many things pulling at your financial pockets asking for a donation. Today I am adding to that list...A BIG ASK to assist the quality of my Big Brother's life and to celebrate his upcoming 70th birthday in June.
