On Sunday, January 23rd, John O’Connor passed away. John was a father, husband, consummate host, cook and co-owner of Nantucket’s beloved Atlantic Cafe.

 

With the support of his wife Kate, their community and the unspoken magic of Nantucket, he raised three beautiful children. Today his family reflects on his long journey on the island from business and homeowner to a man seeking freedom from chronic pain.

 

As their family and friends, we created this GoFundMe to help Kate, Amelia, Evie and Xavier as they transition to life without John. Funeral and living expenses are just the beginning of the costs required for each of them to start this new chapter.
