Support John Bishop in Overcoming Legal Battle

Thank you for taking the time to look at this. My name is John Bishop, father of 3 and happy fiancé. As everyone knows, times are tough for everyone. Everything is expensive like food, gas, rent, and utilities. That’s why I’m here.

At the end of 2022, I resigned a lease early with an apartment complex. Shortly afterward, the situation changed and I needed to get into a better situation for my family. I spoke with the manager and was reassured that I had more than enough time to cancel the upcoming lease without any penalty. I did my due diligence and ended up finding a house for us to move to. Shortly before my lease was up, we had moved and turned in the keys. Happily, we found ourselves right at home in our new house. We have been here since the beginning of 2023.

In October 2024, I was served a summons to go to court. I was being sued by the apartment manager. I spoke with their attorney and expressed that it was not fair and that I was being taken advantage of. I couldn’t afford an attorney of my own and took my chance at a trial. Unfortunately for me, the apartment manager had no problem lying to the judge. She claimed she never got my written notice and did not receive the keys. I did what I was supposed to do and had faith that I could trust her to do the right thing. The bad part, I didn’t have any way to prove otherwise.

Now, I know that I don’t know anyone seeing this from another Jake or Jane walking down the street. I also know that it’s hard times for lots of people. I would be forever grateful to anyone who could help with donations to pay this off. I just don’t want this to negatively impact my family. Again, I am grateful for anyone who has the heart to help and I thank you.
