Please support Joey De Kroon in his summer missionary work!
Joey is the youngest of ten siblings and a sophomore at St. John Bosco Academy. He is a veteran altar server at St. Brendan’s and is a frequent member of its youth groups and a volunteer for its activities. Joey is very active in ECYD and Regnum Christi, apostolic societies for youth and laity under the guidance and spirituality of the Legionaires of Christ.
Joey worked as a missionary last summer, mostly assisting with ECYD retreats in Georgia and also spending a week in Northern Mexico. Through this experience, he grew much closer to God and in appreciation of his Catholic Faith and calling as an apostle. Joey feels called to continue to serve in this manner as he grows towards adulthood and in discernment of his vocation in life.
This summer, from June to July, Joey will be travelling to Valle de Bravo in Mexico, outside of Mexico City, working with the Legionary community for the local youth and for the larger Catholic community. He will be helping with retreats, doing various service projects and doing everything he can to bring Christ to our brothers and sisters in Mexico.
In keeping with the spirit of being a missionary and relying completely upon God as he undertakes this work, Joey asks first and foremost for your prayers and secondly for any financial assistance you can provide to help cover the costs of airfare, food and lodging. Thank you!
