UPDATE:
On January 8th, 2026, Joe passed out due to a lack of oxygen. He was rushed by ambulance to our local hospital, where he was placed on a ventilator. Unfortunately, they were unable to secure his airway, and he had to undergo an emergency tracheotomy. Doctors wanted to place a size 8 trach but were only able to secure a size 4, and further surgery was required.
Early Saturday morning at 4 a.m., he was life-flighted to Detroit, where he underwent another emergency tracheotomy surgery. They were finally able to secure his airway. At this time, doctors are continuing to work on controlling his dangerously high blood pressure while also fighting an infection somewhere in his body.
As our family stays by his side, medical bills continue to pile up, along with the cost of traveling back and forth. We are asking for any support—whether through donations, prayers, or sharing this—to help our family get through this incredibly difficult time. Every bit of support means more than we can put into words.
Thank you for keeping Joe and our family in your thoughts.

On September 12th, Joe Viar was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left them with an active brain bleed, a fractured rib, a fractured skull and a fractured frontal lobe. While he is incredibly lucky to be alive, the road to recovery will be long and difficult. Joe is currently facing financial difficulties being a single father to his daughter, who is now blindsided by paying all household and medical bills and we are asking for your support to help cover these unexpected expenses.
Joe has always been there for others, offering kindness, generosity, and support to anyone who needs it. Now, it’s our turn to help them. No donation is too small, and every little bit counts. Your contribution will help Joe focus on healing and getting back on their feet, without the added stress of financial burdens.
Please share this page with your friends and family, and keep Joe in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for your kindness and support.
