Support Joaquin's Volunteer work abroad

Greetings,

This is Joaquin. I am fundraising to volunteer and be of service on organic farms and support social causes around the world through organizations

such as WWOOF ( https://wwoof.net ) and World Packers (https://www.worldpackers.com )

I will learn more about agroecological farming, explore new cultures, connect with the land and meet like-minded people with similar values. Photography is also one of my passions, so I will be photo-journaling my travel experience through various social media platforms to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones and be of service to the greater good.

After completing my AA degree at the College of Marin and then transferring to the University of California San Diego on grants and scholarships during the pandemic, I thought things might change, and I would be taking classes in person. However, after a year of pushing through online courses without the on-campus in-person experience, I decided to take a Rights of Passage Vision Fast in the Sespe Wilderness. This inspired me to take a gap year to pursue my yearning to volunteer and support environmental and social causes before returning to school.

After connecting more with nature this past year and doing a lot of reflecting, I realized this was what I needed most right now, to benefit the world I live in and fulfill my dream of traveling. Being in my early 20s, I figured this would be the best time in my life to go for this.

I plan on traveling to Costa Rica from February 22nd to April 30th and Spain from May 1st to September 15th. Throughout the past few months, I was working full-time and completed a Trades Program called NextgenTrades Academy.

Room and board will be covered in exchange for my volunteer work, and your support will be used for transportation costs, food and other essential items while volunteering.
