Hi, my name is Joan Zahra Dark, and my friend Sarah Maloney has graciously set up this GoFundMe on my behalf after I was suddenly laid off from Silver Sprocket on Monday, April 21st, 2025. I was a production manager taking care of operational tasks to keep everything moving, as well as a marketing lead handling strategy across multiple channels.

While I try to figure out new work for myself, I've set a $4,000 goal here for about a month's worth of rent and bills to cover this sudden emergency. Joan Zahra Dark (they/them) is a writer, organizer, and interdisciplinary artist. They're a co-founder of the Cartoonist Cooperative, aiming to create better working conditions and better opportunities for comic workers everywhere. They're also pursuing an MFA in Game Design.
