Hello, my name is Steven

I want to start this fundraiser for my mother Jo. Recently, our family suffered a great and unexpected loss, my father passed away from cancer. Just a month ago, he was fine and within weeks, the cancer appeared in his liver and pancreas. It was a devastating loss, especially for my mother, who has been married to my dad for almost 33 years. They had a great marriage, with the typical problems here and there but solid and true. They were inseparable, it was true love. My father was the sole provider for my mother and him. He worked everyday so she didn’t have to and that’s what he wanted. My mother hasn’t worked in over 35 years and is 71 years old. He worked and she took care of the bills and home. My fear now is, my mother is having a very difficult time letting go, she’s hurting so badly from losing the love of her life. So, I’m starting this fundraiser for her in the hopes that she doesn’t have to worry about all the monthly bills, medical bills, car payments, credit card debt etc; She’s worried about losing everything she has. She is not one to ask for handouts and she might even get upset with me for even doing this. But as I talk to her and listen to her in pain, struggling to figure out what she’s going to do. I just felt compelled to start this. It’s just so unfair this is happening to her, so suddenly. If I had the resources to help her I would, I’d take all her financial struggles away. Grieving is already hard enough, but I can’t imagine everything she is mentally going through. She’s a great mother, grandmother and wife. Her family loves her so very much and I know they pain for her. I just want my mom to find her peace someday, know she has so much to live for and not have to worry about anything. If anything, I wish I could take away the pain inside her right now but I can’t. So I’m asking, family, friends and the community to please, help my mother through the most difficult time in her life. Anything is everything. And every little bit counts. I know my dad would appreciate this, my mom was his world and all he would want is for her to be happy and taken care of. So, with that all said, thank you all in advance.
