Hi, my name is Derrick Johnson, and I’m JJ’s husband. I’m helping organize this fundraiser to support his family after a devastating fire destroyed the kitchen of their small eatery in Papaya, San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. This isn’t just a business, it is their source of income and what helps support their family and keep their son Warren in college.
In a matter of moments, the kitchen they built through years of hard work was gone. The fire destroyed their entire cooking area, including the stove, pots, and essential equipment they rely on every day. Without a kitchen, they have no way to cook, no way to earn income, and no way to meet their daily needs or continue paying for Warren’s education.
For years, they have worked tirelessly to provide not only for their family, but for their community. That eatery was their livelihood, their stability, and their hope for a better future.
We are asking for your help to rebuild. Every dollar will go directly toward restoring their kitchen, purchasing essential equipment, and making safer electrical connections so they can reopen and move forward.
No amount is too small, and if you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us rebuild not just a kitchen, but a family’s future.
