On behalf of our family, We're starting this GoFundMe for my great uncle, Jimmy Poteet , who was seriously injured in a tragic farming accident. While working, he became trapped under an auger and came incredibly close to losing both of his legs. He underwent a grueling 5-hour surgery that miraculously saved them, but doctors are still unsure if they’ll be able to save his right ankle. He’s scheduled for another major surgery Monday, and his road to recovery will be long, painful, and uncertain.

Due to the severity of his injuries, he won’t be able to return to work for quite some time, and the medical expenses are already overwhelming. Our family is doing everything we can, but the costs of surgeries, hospital stays, therapy, and day-to-day needs are quickly adding up. We’re turning to our friends, family, and community for help in covering his medical bills and supporting him through this difficult time.
