Help My Father, Jesús Valencia, Rebuild After a Devastating Fire

Early Thursday morning at 2:45 a.m., my father, Jesús Valencia, lost nearly everything in a devastating house fire. He was at work at the time, which thankfully saved his life, but when he returned home, the place he had built with years of hard work, sacrifice, and love was gone.

My father has spent his entire life working tirelessly, often working 16 to 20 hours a day, to provide for himself and live with dignity and independence. In just one heartbreaking night, the fire took his home and every single belonging inside of it. Everything he owned—clothes, personal items, memories—was reduced to ashes. Although part of the structure remains, the damage was so severe that the city declared the house uninhabitable. He now has no safe place to stay and is facing an uncertain and overwhelming future.

As his daughter, it breaks my heart to see my father go through this. I am creating this GoFundMe to help him during the hardest moment of his life. Donations will go toward repairing and restoring his home, replacing essential belongings, and covering temporary housing while he rebuilds and tries to find stability again.

Temprano el jueves por la mañana, a las 2:45 a.m., mi padre, Jesús Valencia, perdió casi todo en un devastador incendio en su casa. Estaba trabajando en ese momento, lo que afortunadamente le salvó la vida, pero cuando regresó a casa, el lugar que había construido con años de trabajo duro, sacrificio y amor se había ido.

Mi padre ha pasado toda su vida trabajando incansablemente, a menudo trabajando de 16 a 20 horas al día, para mantenerse a sí mismo y vivir con dignidad e independencia. Como su hija, me rompe el corazón ver a mi padre pasar por esto. Estoy creando este GoFundMe para ayudarlo durante el momento más difícil de su vida.
