Jesus,22, was shot directly in his right eye with a pepper-ball by LAPD. He was on his way home from work when he stopped by to say hi to a friend who was observing what was going on during the LA ICE protest. Jesus was not taking part in the protest and was observing from afar when he was directly hit.

His injury was severe and was taken to the hospital. That is where they found out that the injury was so severe that he is now blind in that eye.

He will need care and assistance from his family as he recovers and learns to navigate his life with this injury
