Our beloved Jeremy has been fighting for his life, and we are reaching out for support during this incredibly difficult time.

Jeremy was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at just 9 years old. Diabetes is a relentless disease that can take an unimaginable toll on a person’s life, affecting nearly every part of the body. Over time, it can lead to severe complications such as heart disease, kidney failure, nerve damage, and even amputations.

In 2022, at the age of 45, Jeremy suffered a heart attack and underwent triple bypass surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Unfortunately, the surgery led to kidney failure, forcing him into dialysis. Due to these complications, Jeremy was hospitalized for 3 weeks and during this time his wife Lisa stayed in a hotel in Cleveland so she could be by his side every day. Despite all of this, Jeremy kept going, showing the strength and resilience we all admire.

Then, in February 2024, Jeremy had another setback. An infection in his foot led to the devastating loss of his leg. During this time he was hospitalized for 8 weeks. Once Jeremy was finally able to go home, he spent the past year undergoing countless treatments, dialysis 3 times a week and weekly wound care visits, battling every step of the way.

Things took a heartbreaking turn in December 2024 when Jeremy became very ill at home and was rushed to the hospital again. He fell into a coma and went into cardiac arrest. Miraculously, he survived, but he has faced endless setbacks in the months since. Jeremy has been hospitalized in ICU for over 3 months and was placed on a ventilator during most of that time. Doctors later performed a tracheotomy and inserted a feeding tube. Through it all, Jeremy has fought with everything he has.

Jeremy’s family has been trying to get him transferred to the Cleveland Clinic—our last hope for giving him the care he needs. His family has been by his side every single day, praying, hoping, and doing everything they can. But the reality is that this has taken a toll in every possible way—physically, emotionally, and financially. Bills are piling up, and the costs of lodging, travel, and other expenses are overwhelming. If Lisa needs to take family leave to care for him, the financial strain will only grow.
