My name is Jen Hopkins. I am hoping you would help a woman experiencing homelessness with her children. The picture I've posted shows how they are currently living. The roof over their heads is provided week to week by the generosity but it is not sustainable. The weekly cost of this room is more than she earns in a month.

She needs a village. She needs some months where she can stop praying every week for a place she and her children can safely shelter for another week. She has medical issues she has postponed as long as she can.

There are zero substance abuse issues involved here.

Some of you reading this know, once money gets tight, the difficulties just keep multiplying.

There's food, phone, car insurance, gas, and the monster, rent.

I'm hoping to get her enough money to give her that time.

mom is getting a lot of judgment on asking for help for her and the kids. It takes almost $2000 a month just to maintain hotel. Averaging 450 a week for hotel. Mom doesn’t make that much is currently working with agency to get better employment. She’s currently working two jobs. I get that people don’t want to just hand money out, but mom has proved over and over that she is spending everything she has on a hotel. The goal is to get her out of the hotel but right now it is the only place for them to be with a roof over their head. She is getting no assistance whatsoever from the county or the state.

mom is also working with multiple agencies for case management. Also an agency to gain employment that will work with her restrictions and ongoing medical issues.
